Kevin Lane

Horror movie director and genre expert Kevin Lane began working in film and television while still attending high school. His first industry job was interning on the film “Finding Forrester” for director Gus Van Sant. At the age of 25, Lane wrote, edited and directed his first feature film, “The Quiet Room”. The horror thriller was a success at the American Film Market in 2007 and received multiple distribution offers.

Lane’s next feature film, “Off Season”, was a forest set slasher film shot on a micro budget. The film was enthusiastically received when screened at Toronto’s Rue Morgue mansion and was acquired for distribution by iconic genre distributor Anchor Bay Entertainment. The film caught the eye of genre legend George A. Romero, who would become Lane’s mentor and friend. The relationship yielded the horror Western “St. Jude”, which attracted an all-star cast and included the master of horror himself, John Carpenter.

In 2009, Kevin wrote, produced, edited and directed the pitch film “Lineage”. Produced and shot by legendary academy award nominated cinematographer Dean Cundey, the film was shot in Hollywood and featured an all-star cast.

He began the genre production company Thunder Crazed Pictures with Cundey in 2017.
